Put the whole Pringles tube in your brown general waste bin.
brown general waste bin
A Pringles tube is a composite: a cardboard body, a steel base, a foil-lined interior and a plastic cap. Kerbside sorting can't pull those layers apart, so the tube isn't accepted in any St Albans recycling stream.
Getting it right
The metal base and plastic lid can't be reliably separated at the sorting facility.
Loose foil and empty tins DO go in your black recycling bin — but only when they're not bonded to card.
If you want to reduce waste, the plastic lid is reusable as a snack-bowl cover.
